It’s widely regarded as one of the most approachable forms of yoga and serves as the foundation for many popular styles like Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Power Yoga. Hatha Yoga has ancient origins, with references found in classical texts like the Hatha Yoga Pradipika (15th Century), Gheranda Samhita, and Shiva Samhita. Its methods were systematized by early practitioners like Matsyendranatha and Gorakhnath around the 11th century.
